Elliott Connie, author of The Solution Focused Marriage
Elliott Connie is a psychotherapist that practices in Keller, Texas where he has worked with thousands of couples. He is also the founder and Executive Director of The Connie Institute and owner of The Uptown Counseling and Family Therapy Center in Dallas, Texas. Elliott has worked with thousands of couples and families applying the solution focused approach to help them move their lives from the current problems towards their desired futures and has developed the approach Solution Building Couples Therapy (SBCT). He has traveled the world speaking at national and international conferences in such places as throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Asia training practitioners to apply solution focused principles and techniques in their work. Mr. Connie was also the co-editor of the book entitled The Art of Solution Focused Therapy and Solution Building in Couples Therapy. His third book, The Solution Focused Marriage: 5 Simple Habits That Will Bring Out the Best in Your Relationship will be released in the Spring of 2013. Elliott is currently working on a research project, along with other leaders in the solution focused community, to define and explore the meaning and process of solution building. He has been mentored by noted authors and practioners such as Bill O’Hanlon, Chris Iveson and Linda Metcalf.
